Spring

Spring has sprung!

(So have the dandelions - and of course, all of the pollen!)

Bob has handed over the tractor reigns to Madison, who absolutely LOVES mowing the lawn and weed-whacking! (I will get a picture of Madison mowing...)

Allison and Kasey are in charge of watering the plants and the garden.

Simon just climbs trees. He climbs trees so fast - despite that fact that he is allergic to maple, oak, and birch (just to name a few).

The kids cannot wait for summer vacation!

The Poetry of Music

Better late than never...

Allison's 4th grade winter concert was titled "The Poetry of Music". The 4th grade chorus sang many great songs, the choir chimes ensemble made beautiful music, and the advanced recorders performed as well. Allison was chosen as a soloist and she was brilliant! (You can thank Madison for not taking any pictures during Allison's performances.)

Oh yeah - here is the opening scene to "Alice In Wonderland, Jr." Just thought I'd throw that in there for fun!

Allison's spring concert is coming up in May! Check back for more pictures of Allison singing, playing the recorder, and performing with the choir chime ensemble.

Easter 2010

Easter was a treat again this year! The kids had a blast coloring eggs - and decorating them!

These are the creations from the "monsters" kit of egg decorating.

On Easter morning, the kids went searching through the yard for all of the eggs that the Easter Bunny hid. The EB was very generous this year with his eggs - 135 in total.

Baskets were filling quickly...

You had to have a sharp eye...

Kasey thought that the egg hunt was the best!

Allison agreed.

Lunch time brought family and friends for outdoor fun and games - and lots of eating!

The kids made Uncle Andy play hide and seek.

There was quoits being played as well. (I was victorious twice that day!)
Kris and Susan joined the fun - quoits, pool, pinball, bike rides, and kickball. Kenny and Renee were too busy in Vegas celebrating their recent engagement to join the fun. (Congratulations!)
Here is picture of everyone completely stuffed!

Thanks for all of the fun - and the great food, chocolate, candy, treats, and baked goods! We all gained 10 pounds that day!

Don't Tell Mama

The girls and I went into New York with some friends to watch the debut cabaret vocal performance of 2 of their friends performing at Don't Tell Mama. It was so much fun and we had a great time watching the great performances by Lilly and Cameron!

A fun place located on West 46th.

Anthony, Lilly, Madison, Kate, Allison, Cameron, & Katie

You might recognize Anthony from Burger King commericals, Saturday Night Live, and Law & Order. Cameron has also been on SNL , and had a role in an off-Broadway production with Nathan Lane and John Goodman in "Waiting for Godot", and is currently in the McDonald's Happy Meal commercials featuring the "How to Train Your Dragon". How cool! (Of course - we can't forget Allison's musical role as well!)

The kids all had a blast after the show!

This is what happens when the kids take the camera...

Congratulations to our very talented friends! The kids were great and we were so happy to be there supporting them! We all enjoyed a late dinner after the show and had a fabulous time!

Blue Devils Basketball

Madison was an all-star again this basketball season!

She was part of the Blue Devils, and she led the team in points.

Here are the Blue Devils after an exciting game and great win!

The girls worked hard this season!
We can't wait for next year!

Sold Out!!!

On Friday, March 5th, the cast and crew of JP Case School put on the musical "Alice in Wonderland, Jr." to a sold out theater and audience of over 700! Our Allison made her theatrical debut playing the role of "Small Alice".
She did an AMAZING job and we are so very proud of her! In the audience that night were several of Allison's teachers, her principal and family, her vice principal, the new superintendent and his wife, and many of her friends and classmates. Everyone had a GREAT time and thought that Allison was fabulous!

Madison was so proud of her little sister!

Do you want to see a grown man cry? Just put his little girl on stage and you'll see tears of joy every time.

There is me with my extremely talented daughter - and quite possibly the best "Small" Alice in Wonderland - EVER!!!

Aunt Joyce, Simon, and Grandma Sonia were so excited to see the Opening Night Performance!

Jill and Basil made sure they didn't miss Allison's debut!

Uncle Dan and Aunt Joan came to see our little Alice!

Gianna and Allison!

After the show, there were so many happy friends who came to say hi!
What a great adventure! Thanks to the cast and crew - and the staff who worked very hard to bring such an awesome show to us!

Madison - in Concert

January always brings the Winter Concerts at school. Madison's concert was first - and it was fun!

Madison is part of the 6th Grade Guitar Ensemble, the Chorus, and the Band. I think she enjoys playing the flute the best. (This is her second year with it.)
