KC

I was trying to clean out some pictures from my cell phone, and I came across these pictures of Kasey.

This picture was the "after" picture from Kasey's second trip to the ER. Madison was playing with Kasey and lifted her up by pulling on her hands. Well, when Madison pulled - she actually misaligned Kasey's elbow (again).

Since it has happened before, I knew right away from Kasey's face that we had to make a quick trip to the ER. I say "quick" because it literally takes a doctor a nano-second to align everything back up.

She was smiling and happy that she was no longer in pain - and could move her arm again.

Madison did the same thing to Kasey about a year and a half ago. The doctor told everyone then that it is so easy to accidentally cause a lot of unnecessary pain to a toddler.
Poor Madison felt so bad!

After four children - KC is the only one who has ended up at the ER for nurse maid's elbow - twice.

Then there was this picture in my phone - Kasey getting a haircut.
Its actually somewhat comical since she doesn't have much hair.

These are always the best pictures though...

KC is so intense and busy all of the time - that when she gets tired, she just stops and drops. KC will plop down and fall asleep - in any position.

I wish I had that luxury!

Halloween

Halloween was great this year!

The kids had a great time!

It started with Simon's Halloween Parade at school.
There is Simon as General Grievous and some of his Star Wars friends.

Trick or treating was General Grievous and our little spider. Kasey ran to every door and screamed "Frick or Freat!" It was so funny!

Madison and her friends trick or treated with their group of cool 7th graders. They were all dressed as candies - Skittles, Starburst, Twix, etc.

Allison and her friends went into NYC Halloween morning. They trick or treated on Broadway, went to the top of the Rock, and visited Madame Tussaud's wax museum, before taking in a show. They even got to go to a Broadway Star autograph event - and they met cast members from several shows. Allison and Katie were dressed up as Ketchup and Mustard.

They had a wonderful Halloween in the city!

That 70's Show

We were invited to our friend's 50th birthday party out on Long Island. When Bob called to respond, he was told that it was a 70's-themed party.

(Well, thats all that he had to hear!)
Madison, Allison, & Bob (the only one dressed in 70's clothes)
And it wasn't even his Halloween costume!

Me & Bob

Bob & Birthday Girl Angela

The kids had a blast!
Allison & Kasey loved this little bench.
It was just their size.

It was a great time! The party was held at Angela's brother's home. It was a historical mansion which had entertained guests like Grover Cleveland in the past. The buildings and grounds were incredible. Everyone had a blast!

Disco Rules!

Braces & Bangs

Well, its a little hard to see in this picture, but it is probably the best that I am going to get. Madison got braces in October!

She also got bangs! Madison has not had bangs since she was a little girl.

Field Hockey 2010

This year Madison made the J.P. Case Field Hockey Team.

The season was so much fun!

Here is #8 Madison in action!

Its very difficult to get good shots during the game.

Madison about to take a great shot - and score a goal!

Meanwhile - Kasey finds a way of entertaining herself during the field hockey games. Can you guess what her favorite thing to do is? The mud on these fields is that lovely clay stuff - that NEVER comes out in the washer. Check out the face she is making - she is mad that I slowed her down and plucked her out of the mud!
Where are her shoes?
This child removes her shoes whenever she can!

Fall Birthdays

Allison celebrated her 10th birthday with a few friends.
Madison, Gianna, Simon, KC, Allison, Grace, Katie, Amanda, & Clown Bob

The kids baked a special cake for Bob's birthday!

I couldn't help it - this is such a great picture...

The girls were helping Daddy blow out his birthday candles.
(Notice KC is prepared with fork in hand.)

Madison celebrated her birthday as well with a slumber party.
(However, the 7th grade girls were too cool to pose for pictures.)

Happy Birthday to Grampa Tom, too! The kids would have loved to bake you a special birthday cake! We love you and miss you!

5K Fun

Madison and Allison ran their first 5K on October 17th! The girls participated in J.P. Case School's second annual 5K. It was a gorgeous morning and the girls did really well!

Allison, Runner 244 & Madison, Runner 245 - right before the race began.

The racers lining up...

On your mark, get set...

GO!

There is Madison and Allison (left corner - Madison has on Blue #8 tee and Allison's little hair bun is right beneath her.)

The 5K route went right through our neighborhood.
Bob, Simon, and KC rang cow bells and cheered the runners on!

There is Madison - on her way to the finish line.
She completed her first 5K with a time of 27:54.

Allison completed her first 5K with a time of 31:29. Allison also received an award for being the youngest runner!

We are so proud of the girls for doing such a great job! (Especially since we were in Long Island the night before at a party and didn't arrive home until 2:00 AM.)
